MediaTek MWC 2023 will display the latest technologies such as 5G and satellite communication

MediaTek announced that it would display the advanced technology of the product portfolio of Tianji, Filogic, Genio, Kompanio and Pentonic, as well as the 5G technology demonstration beyond mobile devices during the MWC 2023. At the same time, JDK will also display its satellite communication platform, as well as equipment driven by JDK technology and from global leading brands in different fields. JDC will introduce 5G and satellite communication technology into a wider range of equipment.

Satellite communication, 5G, millimeter wave and other solutions

MediaTek's standards-based 3GPP 5G non-terrestrial networks (NTN) solution provides two-way satellite communication support for smart phones and other devices. The new equipment and next-generation NR-NTN technology using its non-terrestrial network (NTN) solution will also take the lead.
MediaTek will display advanced access traffic oriented, switching and splitting technology (ATSSS). Recently, MediaTek and Deutsche Telekom completed the ATSSS 3GPP Release 16 (R16) standard concept verification using the Tianji 9200 flagship chip. The aggregated multi-access connection technology can improve the user's seamless connection experience. As the first key use cases implemented in the laboratory, the ATSSS access traffic switching function can meet the requirements of switching between 5G mobile network and Wi-Fi network, help to ensure stable voice and video call quality, and provide users with uninterrupted network connection experience. This solution is applicable to existing cellular access networks and Wi-Fi access points, and is easy to improve network performance and user experience in a cost-effective way.
MediaTek will cooperate with Ericsson to demonstrate the use of 5G millimeter wave beam technology to improve connection performance and reliability. In addition, MediaTek will also show the millimeter wave 5G UltraSave power saving technology based on the 5G network simulation solution of Shide Technology, and improve the endurance performance of 5G equipment in high-speed data transmission applications by optimizing the hardware and software design.

Smartphones and tablets

During the exhibition, MediaTek will display the flagship experience brought by the Tianji 9200 mobile platform, including MediaTek mobile hardware ray tracing technology, which will bring stunning visual effects of mobile games; Intelligent Display Sync 3.0 variable refresh rate technology adjusts the screen refresh rate in real time according to the game frame rate, bringing a smooth picture experience; Intelligent image semantic technology can optimize image quality through multi-person segmentation and multi-layer color management technology. At the same time, MediaTek will also display the flagship smart phones Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro equipped with the Tianji 9200 mobile platform.
MediaTek will display mobile devices and tablets in the form of folding screen, including OPPO Find N2 Flip and Tecno PHANTOM V Fold folding screen mobile phones with MediaTek Tianji 9000+, as well as One-Pad and Lenovo Tab Extreme tablets with Tianji 9000.
In addition, Mediatech Tianji 7000 series mobile platform will be unveiled during MWC 2023. The first new platform Tianji 7200 has upgraded AI imaging function, game optimization technology and 5G connection speed. It adopts the second generation of TSMC 4nm process, and the eight-core CPU architecture includes two ARM Cortex-A715 cores with a main frequency of 2.8GHz, and six Cortex-A510 cores, which integrate the ARM Mali-G610 GPU and high-energy AI processor. Tianji 7200 is equipped with a 14-bit HDR-ISP image processor Imagiq 765, which supports 4K HDR video recording, and can support up to 200 million pixels of main camera. In addition, Tianji 7200 integrates Sub-6GHz 5G modem, with a downlink rate of 4.7Gbps, and supports 5G dual-carrier aggregation, 5G dual-card dual-standby and dual-card VoNR.
MediaTek will also show Helio G36, a new member of the Helio family, which is designed for mobile devices in the mainstream market. The eight-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU has a dominant frequency of 2.2 GHz and supports 90Hz refresh rate display to provide a pleasant game experience. In addition, Helio G36 also supports 50 megapixel main camera with AI-camera enhancement.
Connection and home network technology
The MediaTek Filogic series provides stable and long-term wireless connection experience for residential gateways, mesh routers, smart TV, streaming media devices, smart phones, tablets, laptops and other terminal products. The site will display the complete device ecosystem built by MediaTek's Wi-Fi 7/6E/6 Filogic solution.
Internet of Things, Chromebook and Smart TV
The Mediatech Genio intelligent Internet of Things platform covers high-end, mid-tier and entry-level chipsets, and is widely applicable to smart home and smart environment devices. Kompanio mobile computing platform provides high performance and long battery life for Chromebook with different market positioning. The Pentonic smart TV platform of MediaTek integrates advanced display, audio, AI, broadcast and connection technologies. During the MWC 2023, the United Development Section will display the relevant technical demonstrations and equipment of Genio, Kompanio and Pentonic.
From February 27 to March 2, 2023, the above technical demonstrations and equipment will be displayed at MWC 2023. Participants can visit the 3D10 booth in Hall 3.
