MediaTek is cooperating with Nvidia to integrate Nvidia AI GPU on high-end mobile chip

MediaTek is cooperating with Nvidia to integrate Nvidia AI GPU on its flagship SoC.

The report points out that the two companies have previously cooperated with GeForce GPU on the Chromebook processor based on ARM, so it is not surprising that the two companies continue to cooperate.

Samsung and AMD cooperated to integrate RDNA2 GPU on Exynos 2200 SoC, but the final performance is not particularly ideal. IT House learned from the report that the media believed that the cooperation between Nvidia and Mediatech was a good opportunity to prove that the desktop GPU architecture could also be applied to the SoC of smart phones.
It is reported that in addition to the cooperation on GPU, the two sides will further explore and improve AI performance. The AI performance of MediaTek in its flagship Tianji 9200 currently lags behind that of Qualcomm in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Through cooperation with NVIDIA, MediaTek is expected to catch up with and even surpass Qualcomm in this respect, helping MediaTek to further conquer the high-end market.
