OPPO released SUPERROOC S power management chip: realizing the integration of charging and discharging in three for the first time

OPPO is no exception. This year, they brought a number of innovative scientific and technological achievements to MWC 2023 to continuously explore cutting-edge technologies and improve user experience with key technologies.

Just now, OPPO released its first three-in-one full-link power management chip SUPERVOC S, which is the most efficient charging and discharging solution in the mobile phone field.
OPPO said that after one year's independent research and development, SUPERVOC S chip replaced the fast-charging MCU chip, half-voltage charge pump chip and voltage-regulating chip with a new architecture. It integrates the six functions of charging, discharging, decoding, resetting, safety protection, and power-off, saving 45% of the fast-charging device area on the motherboard, significantly reducing the interference and loss during charging and discharging, and significantly improving the safety, stability and efficiency of charging and discharging.

SUPERROOC S can decode the mobile phone charging protocol in hardware, intelligently adjust the charging current and voltage, match the charging power more safely, and ensure the charging efficiency and safety.

In the most common 0.1-1A discharge use scenario, compared with the previous dual-core scheme, the mobile phone equipped with SUPERROOC S can improve the discharge efficiency from 97.5% to 99.5%, the highest discharge efficiency in the industry, and achieve near-lossless power consumption effect, which saves more electricity and has longer battery life.

SUPERROOC S chip is currently the most efficient charging and discharging solution in the mobile phone field. With SUPERROOC S, OPPO has realized the self-research on the chip, charging algorithm, charging architecture, and full-link charging and discharging on the battery for the first time.
