Simplified circuit design
These new RETs or "digital transistors" provide sufficient margin for use in 48 V automotive grids (such as mild hybrid and EV vehicles) and other higher voltage circuits, which are often affected by large spikes and pulses that previous 50 V devices could not handle.
By combining bias resistors in the same SOT23 (250 mW Ptot) or SOT323 (200 mW Ptot) packaging as transistors, RET can save space and reduce manufacturing costs. The SOT363 package also offers dual RETs (two transistors and two matched bias resistors) with a Ptot of 300 mW, enabling higher integration and cost savings.
